Ninja Creami Milk and Cookie Ice Cream Recipe

Must Try

There’s no greater joy than dipping chocolate chip cookies in milk as a kid: letting the cookies soak up the milk before biting into them, then sipping the milk subtly infused with that sweet cookie flavor.

Lately, everyone’s been craving that cookie milk flavor, so much so that for the past year, cookie milk has been all the rage, turning up in everything – including cookie milk lattes and matchas that are popping up on cafe menus around the world.

With the cookie milk trend and the Ninja CREAMi being the hottest device right now, it made sense to combine the two into one creamy cookie milk ice cream!

Why I love this Ninja CREAMi Cookie Milk Ice Cream Recipe

Our first sighting of cookie milk on social media was from Sydney cookie connoisseur, Butterboy, who was using leftover cookies to infuse milk to then use in iced lattes and matchas.

From there, I started thinking about all the exciting ways to use cookie milk, and cookie milk ice cream came to mind. I mean, ice cream sandwiches exist, cookies and cream ice cream is a classic…

We just needed an ice cream that reproduced this subtle sweet milk infused with a biscuit taste, but not anymore!

Ninja CREAMi Milk and Cookie Ice Cream Recipe

This recipe uses our simple two-ingredient Ninja CREAMi ice cream base: thickened cream and sweetened condensed milk.

To get that cookie milk flavor, I let the cookies sit in the cream overnight to slowly infuse. The cream turns a caramel-like color and has that signature cookie milk flavor that takes you back to the good old days of enjoying cookies and milk before bed.

Note that this recipe requires at least 14 hours of refrigeration and freezing.

💡 Tip: let the cookies soak!
It’s best to soak the cookies overnight, if you have time. You want the cookies to completely break down into cream so you can maximize the flavor of the cookies and minimize waste when you strain out the excess cookie.

Key Ingredients of this Ninja CREAMi Cookie Milk Ice Cream Recipe

  • Thickened cream: not only does the thickened cream provide the rich, creamy base of the ice cream, but its high fat content keeps the ice cream smooth.
  • Sweetened condensed milk: Alongside heavy cream, condensed milk is the ultimate cheat ice cream tip. It provides sweetness and its high sugar content ensures that the ice cream does not freeze and has a nice spoonable consistency.
  • Chocolate chip cookies: This is where all the flavor and nostalgic flavor of cookies comes from, so make sure you choose good quality chocolate chip cookies. I used Arnott’s Australia Premier Chocolate Chip Cookies as they have a crunchy texture that absorbs the cream really well, but feel free to use your favorite chocolate chip cookies, or if you have any leftovers you’ve made you can use those too.
